The City of Beloit is excited to announce the opening of Krueger-Haskell Golf Course at 8 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2020, under the guidance of Governor Evers’ “Safer at Home” order.
To ensure a safe environment, we are implementing safety plans, policies and procedures for staff and guests. Our team has worked diligently over the past weeks in anticipation of the golf course opening for play. Be assured that the City of Beloit is closely monitoring the impact of COVID-19 and taking preventative measures to ensure the highest level of service and cleanliness at Krueger-Haskell Golf Course. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the below policies and procedures:
Tee times/payments: All reservations are taken on a first come, first served basis. Greens fees must be paid in advance. The golfer reserving the tee time will be responsible for paying for the entire group at the time of the reservation. Tee times will be available in 15-minute intervals for 18-hole walking 8am – 3pm and 9-hole 8am – 5pm. Tee times will be available seven days in advance by calling the Krueger-Haskell Clubhouse at (608) 362-6503.
Carts: Motorized carts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning Friday, May 1. Only one person per cart will be allowed – no exceptions. Call the Clubhouse at 608-362-6503 to reserve and pay for your cart. If we are unable to guarantee that a cart will be available for your tee time, we will place you on a wait list. If you are on the waiting list, please call upon arrival to determine if a cart will be available; if a cart is available, you will be able to purchase the cart rental over the phone while still in the parking lot.
The below will not be allowed:
- Walk up play
- Cash payments
- More than 4 people in your group
Online booking: To be determined.; not available at this time.
How to check in/golf experience: If you are feeling sick or exhibiting any signs of illness, please stay home. When in good health, arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your tee time. Adhere to social distancing in the parking lot, including vehicles. Go directly to the clubhouse window where staff will verify your identity and proof of payment. Proceed to #1 tee box when called over the loud speaker. Scorecards and pencils will be available at the #1 tee box.
At each hole, pins will be placed in the cups and “filled” with foam. Hitting the foam is considered a putt made. There are no rakes in the bunkers, ball washers or benches. The goal is to create a no-touch golf experience.
In addition to the above, we encourage you to engage in these additional recommendations when on the course:
- Maintain social distancing.
- Hand sanitizer frequently.
- Don’t shake hands or give high fives during the round.
- Leave the flagstick in the hole at all times.
- Don’t share clubs or any other equipment.
- If you are feeling sick or exhibiting any signs of illness, please depart the golf course.
Putting green & hitting nets: Closed until further notice.
Push/pull carts: Personal push/pull carts are allowed. Sharing of carts is not allowed. Rentals are not available.
Food and beverage service: To be determined.
May I bring my own food and beverage? Small, non-alcoholic carry-on beverages are allowed. Snack-type food such as bananas, granola bars and apples are permitted. Carry-on alcohol is NOT allowed per Wisconsin State Statute. Please dispose of all trash in trash containers throughout the course.
Restrooms: The clubhouse restrooms are closed.
Masks: The Centers for Disease Control strongly recommends face coverings when in public; however, masks are not required.
Season pass holders: Contact the clubhouse to schedule your tee time. When playing with non-pass holders, payment is required at the time of reservation for the entire group. Golfer making the reservation will need to then seek reimbursement from other players in the group.
Gift certificates: When scheduling your tee time make sure to let us know if you have a 2020 gift certificate. Gift cards will be honored. Upon arrival, present the gift certificate at the clubhouse window; once verified, gift certificate will be placed in dropbox next to the window.
Cancellations: Golfer must cancel MORE THAN 24 hours prior to tee time to receive a rain check that can be used for another date. No call/no shows will forfeit their green fee with no rain check.
What is the rain check policy/refund?
If the course is closed due to inclement weather or for any other unforeseeable circumstance during your round, a rain check will be issued for use through the 2020 season:
- 9-Hole Golfers: completes holes (1-4) full rain check issued
- 18-Hole Golfers: completes holes (1-4) full rain check issued/completes holes (5-13) a 9-hole rain check issued
In the event of inclement weather, we are not allowed to open the clubhouse. Please take immediate shelter in your vehicle. Contact Mark Young at email@example.com or (608)362-6503 to coordinate a rain check.
Failure to comply with the above will result in immediate removal from the golf course with no refund.
